BrightLedger provides accounting services including but not limited to monthly reporting, tax filing, and payroll management. The specific services to be provided will be agreed upon between BrightLedger and the client through a separate service agreement or engagement letter.

Professional Conduct

All accounting services will be performed in accordance with the relevant professional standards and codes of ethics applicable in South Africa. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by professional bodies.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information necessary for the performance of our services
• Making decisions about the use of our advice or recommendations
• Designating a qualified individual to oversee the services
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls
• Complying with applicable laws and regulations
• Paying our fees as agreed

Fees and Payment

Our fees are based on the type of service you request, the complexity of the work, and the time required to complete it. Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement or engagement letter. Unless otherwise stated, payment is due within 14 days of invoice date.

Confidentiality

We will maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by you and will not disclose any such information to a third party without your written consent, unless required by law or professional standards.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of BrightLedger or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrightLedger shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services, or for the cost of procurement of substitute services.

Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with written notice as specified in the service agreement. Upon termination, you will be obligated to pay for all services performed up to the date of termination.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts for the resolution of any disputes.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
